Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of the Safety Policy and enforcement of the requirements of the Safety Manual prepared by DSD and other safety and health standards and instructions;
  • Conduct regular inspections of the sewage treatment facilities, pumping stations and laboratories to ensure that they are safe and impose no risk of health. Provide monthly reports of findings and recommendations;
  • Provide safety training courses per month;
  • Monitor the compliance of safety rules and safe practices;
  • Conduct risk assessments for the works in confined spaces and other works in the Site;
  • Report to the Services Manager or his delegate any unsafe practices or unsafe conditions;
  • Assist in accident reporting and investigation and prepare the investigation reports;
  • Attend any relevant safety and health management committee meetings and assist in the implementation of the actions agreed in the meetings;
  • Assist in carrying out safety promotion campaign;
  • Assist in implementing the quality and environmental management system;
  • Normal working hour will be 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday (excluding public holiday)

Requirements:

  • A registered safety officer under Labour Department;
  • Holding equivalent academic qualification for registration as safety officer under Cap.59;
  • Relevant 1 year experience;
  • Good Chinese and English typing skills;
  • Proficiency in using Computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Priority given to candidates with proven experience/ knowledge of sewage treatment plant;
